Card Game Score Keeper privacy policy

Card Game Score Keeper is a score pad for card games on iPhone and iPad, made by Jay Pozo. This page explains what data the app uses, where it is kept, and the choices you have.

What data does Card Game Score Keeper collect?

None that leaves your device through the app. As of October 2026, player names, games, rounds, scores, history and settings are saved only on your iPhone or iPad. The app has no account, no sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no server of its own. If you buy the one-time unlock, Apple handles payment; the app receives purchase details, not card details.

Data on your device

As of October 2026, the app saves its data with Apple's SwiftData in the app's own storage on your device. That includes the player names you enter, saved games, rounds and scores, game history, rule choices and app preferences. iCloud sync is turned off in the app, so this data is not copied to iCloud by the app.

iOS device backups may include this data; the app does not exclude it from backups.

Purchases (Apple)

The app sells a one-time unlock through Apple's StoreKit. Apple processes payment; the app never receives your payment card details. The app checks the purchase with Apple and keeps a small record of the unlock in the device Keychain, set not to sync to other devices, so the unlock works offline. Apple's purchase or restore flow may require your Apple Account, but the app has no separate account. Read Apple's privacy policy.

What the app does not do

As of October 2026, the app has no ads, no analytics or crash-reporting service, no tracking, no sign-in and no Jay-operated server. It does not ask for access to your contacts, location, camera, photos or microphone. It does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission, because it does not track you.

The app may ask iOS to show Apple's standard rating prompt. Apple controls that prompt.

Children

The app is made for a general audience, including families playing together. It does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, because the data you enter stays on your device.

Your choices

  • Delete a game inside the app to remove it and its rounds from your device.
  • Deleting the app removes its local data. An iOS backup may keep a copy.
  • Restore Purchases in the app restores the unlock through Apple.
